Basketweave End-Grain Cutting Board made with Hard Maple, Black Cherry, and Black Walnut. By varying the species and orientation of each piece of wood, the pattern comes through at a distance. Looking up-close reveals the individual grain pattern of each species.

“End-Grain” Cutting Boards expose the “End-Grain” of the wood - where all wood fibers are oriented vertically on the cutting surface. As compared to “Edge-Grain” Cutting Boards, End-Grain provides a harder and more cut resistance surface. Edge-Grain cutting boards are softer but are less penetrative to fluids.
